I have built the K8047 kit - 4 channel USB data logger, and have successfully used version 3.03 of PClab2000SE suplied on the CD. However, when I try to use version 4.03 downloaded from the Velleman site, I get the following error:
Access violation at address 0024488C in module ‘CP210x.dll’. Write of address 7C59C354.
This message then repeats in cascading windows every second until I kill the program with task manager. I don’t know if they are any different but I have tried the CP210x_VCP_Win2K_XP_S2K3.exe bundled with the download as well as install_drv from the 3.03 start menu and also the 4.03 start menu but all give the same result.
Is there a specific driver or an updated DLL and how can I tell which driver version is installed? The only devices I can find in device manager are HID-compliant device and USB Human Interface Device both of which show a Microsoft supplied driver.
I am running Windows 2000 SP4 with 1Gb of RAM.
Thanks,
Julian
