Be careful what you connect between the CLAMP and the digital output of the card (resistor in series with a LED, relay, motor etc…). The resistance of these devices should be high enough to keep the current below 100mA safe level.
i don’t fully understand how to use the external feature even know i have read other topics. please could you give me a graphic representation with a 3volt led
Here you are: You just need one battery (or adaptor), one resistor and the LED.

No, it is not safe with this diagram.
You have to connect the plus (+) pole of the battery to the CLAMP terminal.
Connect the motor between the CLAMP terminal and the digital output terminal of the board.
