8061 CPU Failure Question

My k8061 worked well until today when I attempt to connect with demo or diagnostic interface, I get a “CPU FAIL” message.
What do I do next? Is there a spare parts department who can sell me a new cpu? I have not modifed code so the test must be working as intended.

You can test the CPU operation.

  • Disconnect the USB cable.
  • Connect the 12Vdc power supply to the board.
    If the CPU is OK, the LED LD12 should be now flashing and the LEDs LD13-LD20 should be lit and LD1-LD8 should be off.

The “CPU FAIL” indicates that the communication between the two CPUs on the board fails. The cause to this may be the optocouplers IC1, IC2 or any other defective component on the board.
