hi i have built the k8060 amp,the bais is set ok to 11mv all the rest of the votages seem to be ok,the led is on,it runs cold all ok so far,but when i connect a speaker to the output it blows the speaker,when checking the output i have -30 volts dc on the output,i have changed all the transistors twice and still have the problem can anyone help,many thanks.brian.
There are numerous posts on this issue, in almost all cases an assembly or a power supply problem it at the cause of troubles.
hi thanks for your reply,but i have checked for dry joints shorts checked all components are the right way round replaced all the caps,and the fault is still there,i have now bought another one to compare,to see if i can find the fault that way,cheers brian.
hi all,you will be glad to hear that i have found the fault on my k8060,the fault was -30 volts dc on the speaker output,what was causing the fault was t3 the bc639 had a 110ohm short both ways across the emitter and collector feeding -30volts dc back to the tip147,after replacing the bc639 the amp now works fine.hope this helps anybody else that gets the same fault,cheers all,brian.
