109 Die kit Lost Numbers!

Hi,

Having not touched any type of electronic kit for the last ten years I have just built the electronic die kit.

Unfortunately, athough all of the LEDs work on different numbers the unit appears not to produce either a number four or five. All other numbers are fine. I am assuming that the problem lies somewhere around the outputs from IC2, the binary counter, but am unsure as to where (unable to get my tiny head around the output logic!).

All joints appear to be soldered OK, although not perfectly, and all componants are correctly fitted (re polarity).

Any easy solutions known?

Any help greatfully appreciated.

Check solderings for solder bridges or shorts. Check pin9 of IC2. Make sure it is not shorted to GND. If necessary, replace IC2.
