is there anyone use 1.75mm PLA in K8200? is this compatible in our 3d printer?
Hi weewre,
no, 1.75 mm filament won’t work in the default configuration of the K8200.
You’d have to change the hotend to a suitable one, and adapt or replace the extruder, too, since the filament is more flexible and thus requires better guidance than an extruder set for 3 mm filament can provide.
Cheers,
kuraasu

thanks for the quick response kuraasu.
Hi Weewre,
kuraasu is right.
But… in case you do want to go that way…
I replaced my extruder with a bulldog XL (screws right in) and use a 0.3 J-Head mk 5B. costs a bit of pocket money but is quick and easy to get working.
Then I can use 1.75mm and 3.0mm in the same machine machine.
with this configuration I can reach 0.09 Z-resolution without much trouble (+many of the DIY upgrades listed in this forum! Thanks again kuraasu and others).
Ciao!
p.s. because the setup is also considerably shorter than the Velleman extruder you gain lots of z space to print in. In fact: too much (!) and I had to raise the print bed with a few spacers. Just a friendly warning to others.

Is the bulldog xl a good extruder? Can you post some images of your setup ? Where did you order your Bulldog xl?
