007 - ASSEMBLING THE Z MOTOR AND THREADED ROD - misleading

Technical clarification needed.

In the “007 - ASSEMBLING THE Z MOTOR AND THREADED ROD” section, the placement of the motor/bracket is confusing.

Instruction says:
“Make sure the bracket bottom is at MAXIMUM 4.5 cm (1.77”) from the bottom frame. It should be between 4 cm (1.57") and 4.5 cm (1.77"). Tighten the 2 bolts and make sure that the bracket is perfectly horizontal."

Whereas later in this section the motor is placed much lower in the pictures.

Also the later pictures, show the Z ROD GUIDE to align with the a two rod supports. But this is not the case if the placement of the motor mounting bracket is placed per instruction above.

Thanks.

It kept me puzzling for a while too.
The measure of 4 to 4.5 cm is correct.

I found that it needed to be about 3.5 cm. Otherwise, the vertical metal plate hit the microswitch before the stop-screw did.

I havé excactly the same probleme, all the picture after show the motor at a lower place. What si the correct thing to do? Tank you.

Hi,

I assembled my printer last week and used the 4 - 4,5 cm and it works just fine.
Just measured it again to be sure.

I have the same dilemma.
I think that confusion is coming from where the 4.5 cm is measured from. It seems that it should be measured from the bottom side of the frame not from the top side, as on the picture.
