006 - ASSEMBLING THE EXTRUDER ARM, aluminium profile stuck

I started assembling K8200 today, I got stuck in chapter 006 - ASSEMBLING THE EXTRUDER ARM on puting in top aluminium profile (395 mm).
It doesn’t go in or out even with quite force.

What would be best way to “unstuck” this piece?

Use a rubber mallet to remove the parts. It might help to loosen all of the screws in the angle braces.

As you seem to have discovered, it is necessary to keep the sides parallel when you install this part. If it gets too far out-of-square, it will bind.

Thanks, i tried to use piece of wood and hammer. Yeah rubber mallet might do it as well. at that point it got even more stuck. I could get it out by loosening all bolts in angular mounts of horizontal profiles. Then by wiggling those two I could slide all 3 profiles out and I was able to take it apart.

Glad to hear you got that taken apart. I think that happens to everybody building a K8200, although from your pictures that was wedged pretty solidly.

As you finalize your build, you will want to check that the frame is square.

Have fun, it is a great printer!

Why is the profile on the right so much taller then the left?

It’s because of angle I took photo from. They were at same height, as still mounted to base frame.

I wasn’t able to put that piece in as in manual (tried 3 times).
I had to loosen angular mounts at horizontal profiles (all 8 bolts), put in vertical one, put all 3 back in place.

I’m at chapter 16, soon I guess there will be my other post of some unsuccessful prints
