My VM8095 module crashes after certain time, is replaced by the seller but also the new one has the same problem.
After switching the power supply off and on again, it works for a time, but it will crashes again.
Using Velleman’s standard programming and I have 5 push buttons placed externally and use a Velleman VM191 remote control.
Temporarily I use a timer and regularly switch off the mains voltage and on, then there is no problem.
Can someone help me?

How long are the wires to the external push buttons?
Does the module crash if the external push buttons are not connected and the wires to these buttons are disconnected from the VM8095 module?
I am using the standard wires delivered with the module.
And yes, the module also crashes with no external push buttons and there wires connected.
I am using extern a 12 volt dc 1,5 amp powersupply.
The module is mounted in a box.
I will look of i can send a photo of it.

But I wonder since you have it in an enclosure is the unit over heating?
It does not look like you have any ventilation.
Maybe you should mount a small fan.
How long can you run it with the cover open?
Have you tried a different power supply maybe it has an issue.

The device is not with me, but with a friend in a nursing home (Parkinson).
I’ve already tried in all kinds of ways to make him listen to his music, that’s all he can do.
After several solutions PC, tablet and now the VM8095 and that goes well.
So I can hardly remove the device and start experimenting again.
I wonder if the watchdog firmware is provided, given my experiences with the timer!
There are ventilation openings on both sides of the cabinet.
The amplifier is not used, so the power consumption is minimal.
But I will certainly do something with your comments.
The temperature in the cabinet was 30 degrees Celsius and the temperature of the components were also the same.
The powersupply was 12.2 volt en the load was minimal, because the amplifier is not used only line out.
What I have found is that the line-out and speaker connectors were connected to the cabinet.
This was not my intention given the plastic frame that I used to mount the module.
I have resolved this and am now waiting for the next crash or a possible solution via this site or from the support team of Velleman.
