VM201 is being a rogue DHCP server

It is possible to upgrade the firmware using the tftp command on Linux:

$ tftp 192.168.0.100
tftp> binary
tftp> rexmt 1
tftp> timeout 60
tftp> trace
tftp> put VM201Build1342.bin

192.168.0.100 being the IP address of your VM201 card.
VM201Build1342.bin being the extracted file from the firmware zip file, located in the directory where you’re running the tftp command (link to latest firmware is stated in the firmware upgrade PDF)
Further to the above, herewith confirming that the VM201 no longer acts as a DHCP server after successfully installing the latest firmware linked earlier in this thread.

Thank you for helping; hope this helps others too.
Hi there,

It really helped to fix this very nasty problem… whew, good find!!
I noticed that the last mentioned FW upgrade version was v1315 but today I have updated to

Build: 1342
Build date: Oct 17 2013 09:25:27
TCPIP Stack: v5.42

I don’t know what is the difference between v1315 and the latest 1342.

I’m happy that it is solved.

Best regards
