VM167 Win 8

Is it possible to run VM167 projects under Windows 8?

In the 32-bit version of Windows 8 it is possible.
In 64-bit version it should be also possible, but you have to disable the driver signature enforcement in order to install the VM167 driver.
For more details how to disable the driver signature enforcement please see:

Thanks, I will give it a go…

bcdedit -set loadoptions ENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF
nothing works, Windows says ‘no numeric signature found’

Please download and extract the package vm167_sdk_rev1045.zip from velleman.eu/support/download … m167&type=
Install the driver from folder VM167DriverWinUSB

hi, thank you for you reply

I am sorry but I don’t found the “general” menu

It’s a french home version 64 bits of windows 8.1

In the screen PC Settings
I found PC et Peripherique
Comptes (users)
skydrive
recherche et applications (search and application)
confidentialité (privacy)
reseau (net)
heure et langue
option d’ergonomie
mise à jour et récupération

I haved soon downloaded the driver but i cant deasable the “Signature Enforcement”

OK - Indeed, there is no “General” in the Windows 8.1.
Instead select: “Update & Recovery” FR: “mise à jour et récupération”
Then select “Recovery” and then click on the “Restart now”.
When the “Choose an option” screen appears after the restart, click on “Troubleshoot”.
Click on “Advanced options”.
Click on “Startup settings”.
Click “Restart”.
When restarted, select 7 or F7 “Disable driver signature enforcement”.

This disables the Driver Signature Enforcement, which will allow you to install the driver.

hi, you are right, It’s work fine now
