What difference is there between the products VM151, VM161 and VM162?
-
In my first project, I am using 3 led strips, one of each colour (rgb), so in effect, they have separated anode/cathode. Is one of the above products better suited for the task? or can any one be used?
-
From my previous experiences with velleman products, it’s likely that I’ll want to modify the software in the pic microcontroller on these products. Is the source code available, or would I need to rewrite the existing functionality perhaps using a different mcu?
-
Is it possible to add a pushbutton to the above products, that can be used alongside the radio controller?
-
Hereby a link to a document that shows the main features and differences:

You need either common anode or separated anode/cathode strips/leds. Common cathode strips will not work.

Sorry, for copyright reasons we never release sourcecode.

No. Upcoming VM150 (identical to VM161/VM162 but DIN rail mounting) will feature pushbuttons instead of remote control.
So, to get this straight;
VM151 has effects, but no dimming?
VM161 and VM162 can do dimming but not any effects?
Additionally, VM161 has a different kind of remote control?
Correct
Ok, it sounds like I’ll have to rewrite the software.
Are the schematics for the PCBs available? (to save me some time)
Is the radio protocol between the remote and dimmer documented somewhere?
Sorry, no protocol description.

Thanks, I understand,
I have not received anything in my mailbox, can you please try to re-send it?
Since I use google apps for e-mail, attachments shouldn’t be filtered or anything like that.
File has been sent to your email address.
I still haven’t received the file
I do receive the e-mail from this forum about new posts to this thread, so, is it possible that there may be something wrong with your e-mail server?
Or, is there some other way you could try to send it?
We are willing to send the file one final time, but please provide a correct email address.
Apparantly, the address ''funklord@vibes.se’ is not correct.

Did you try to send on the other address I mentioned?
Both addresses are correct, I receive e-mail on them on a daily basis.
Yes, the same day (23/3/2010 08h33)
Sorry, but there must be something wrong at your side.
We will provide a link to the file on this forum, soon.
