VM 204 for a BMS

Hi all!
my name is Maurizio Sperandini.
I manage a amusement park in Rome (Cinecittà World), and I would realize a BMS (building Management system) using boards such as VM204.
I have around 100 digital outputs, 100 digital inputs, 20 analog inputs.
Some questions:

  1. Is it possible to control around 30 of these boards from one PC? Is there a limit?
  2. Is it possible to have a management software, running on the supervision PC, that is friendly and easy in use?
  3. Is it possible to control the boards from the Web?
    Thanks.
    Maurizio Sperandini,

Hi Maurizio,

That would be a nice project!

  1. There is no limit on how many cards you can connect, maybe your network infrastructure will be the limit.
  2. There isn’t a management software for this card. There’s a discovery tool which allows you to detect the cards in your network and then browse to them.
  3. And yes you can control the card from anywhere in the world. But that depends on your network infrastructure.

The card does contain an API which allows you to control the card programmatically from a single PC.
But you’ll have to write the software yourself.
I hope i informed you enough, if you still have any question don’t hesitate to ask them
