Ub/down counter K8035

Question 1:
hi i got a question about the Ub/Down counter K8035.
The counter has 4 digets (4 displays max count 9999 )
I want to make it 2 digets (2 displays max count 99)
Normaly its got 4 displays, is it possible that the counter works on 2 displays???
And how do i do that??

You may remove the first 2 digits but internally it will always count till 9999.

Maybe you could wire the ‘equal out’ output to the reset button and preset the unit for ‘100’
This is just a hint, please don’t ask for detailed step by step instructions , experiment instead.
