Triggering VM141

Triggering VM141

What means non retriggerable? Does it mean that I cannot start a new sequence while a sequence is already running. With other words: Is it necessary to stop an already running sequence before being able to start a new one. If so, could I start a new sequence by activating the stop and start inputs at the same time?

Grunder,

You are correct.

Thanks for your quick reply. Is there no necessity for time shifts between stop and start activation?

Sorry, this question is unclear to us. Please explain.

The idea is to make the timer retriggerable. I want to connect the start and stop inputs with a diode in order to pull down also the the stop input when activating the start input. Would that work? Which diode polarity would be required? I cannot see this from the wiring diagram.

No, this will not work.
The fact that it is not retriggerable is determined in software and cannot be changed.

Thank you. What is the required time span (approx.) after the end of a stop signal until I can start the timer again?

No time span, it can be started immediately.
