Any body any idea’s please.
I need to activate a relay immediately on the press of a n/o momentary switch, and release on off, however if the button is pressed for 15 seconds then the relay needs to latch on until either power failure, or a separate release is pressed. (this is to simulate engine starting on a flight simulator)
I have had a look at the K8015 and the VMB1RY, the later looks perfect for my application if it will do the above.
Can anyone confirm if either of these will do this, or if not, what will?

You will have to develop a small custom application using a µ-controller.
What about using a double pole momentary switch, and a time delay relay. For the first 15 seconds the momentary switch will activate the engine start, after 15 seconds relay activates and engages the engine start circuit, and the switch can be released. This would be with one pole of the momentary switch and one pole of the relay wired parallel. Would any of the timed relay’s achieve this functionality?

Timers feature turn-on delay, but they turn off when the button is released.
Is the relay double pole? Surely i can use one pole to latch the relay “on” when it activates after 15 seconds? What is the product code for the relay?
Single pole relay.
If you modify the PCB, you could replace it with a double pole type.
