Record data from the PCSU1000 via DLL

Hallo,

I’ve a question for you about the PCSU1000 & PCLAB2000 sample rate.
We would like to perform a signal analyse with our own software for about 5 to 10 seconds with a maximal sample rate of 50MSample/sec,i.g 500MB data. Is it possible to record this data from the PCSU1000 via DLL and how.

Thank You for a quick reply
Wbr. Katrin

The internal data buffer is 4096 samples/channel. This is the maximum amount of continuous data to record. The buffer must be read to the PC before the next data can be acquired.
Sorry that the required 500MB of continuous data is not possible to record with this oscilloscope.

Thank You very much for Your fast answer, but what are You then doing with DDL´s connections? What is the fortune?
Do You see any other possibilities solution to get real time date from this PCSU1000 via the USB-Port to the computer?
Or is it possible to read out the buffer automatically?

The USB connection of the PCSU1000 uses the full-speed transfer. It offers a maximum data transfer rate of 1.5 MB/s (12 Mb/s).
So it is not possible to get the real time data sampled at 50MS/s.
The only way is to read the buffer. This takes some time due to the 12 MB/s data transfer rate of the USB.

Here a quote from article: “Using USB as a Data Acquisition Interface”
Full Speed
A full-speed transfer offers a maximum data transfer rate of 12 MB/s. Once again, this is the actual speed that bits are transferred over the bus, and actual usable data transfer rates will be less.
