Re: K4900 kit/ Connecting Encapsulated Transformer6VA 0-9V

Please can someone advise,
First off, I am quite new to making electronic kits, this is the first time I have had need for the use of an encapsulated transformer, however, there are no instructions along with the transformer to indicate which points are supplied with positive or negative AC power, or which outputs are positive and negative which should be connected.
The only identification, on the casing is numbers 1-5 with pin on 1 and 5, (this looks to be imput,) opposite side has numbers 6-10 with pins on 6,7 and 9,10 (this looks to be output).
This transformer is to supply power to telephone amplifier kit (K4900) rather than using a battery.
I have made comparisons to an older transformer, which indicates negative on 1 and positive on 5, other than this I have no other information.
Although it is a very basic question, the answer is needed before I can complete the project.
Thanking you in advance.

Can you supply more info regarding the transformer?
Is this a Velleman transformer? If yes, ordercode?
If no, please check with the manufacturer.

Thank you so much for your speedy response,
I am sorry I should have included these details
As far as I am aware the transformer is from Velleman, as it seemed to be a necessary part in the Velleman kit description.

many thanks for reply,
I appreciate that, I have looked at these illustrations however there is no indication which pin is positive feed and which is Neutral.
May be I am not explaining properly I need to know which pin is to be connected to the LIVE wire of the 240V supply, I.E. pin 1 = (live)Positive brown wire or is pin 5 = (live)Positive Brown Wire.
thank you again .I look forward to hearing from you.

That is of no importance.

thats great, many thanks.
