Ps scope pcs500

Hi,

is it possible to run the PCS500 on a USB-Port with Windows XP.

I bought a LPT <–> USB converter but the software does not accept USB. Is there a chance to fix this?

many thanks

No, this will not work.
Adding a card with parallel ports can solve the problem.
In case you are using a laptop, some users have managed to get a PCMCIA parallel port to communicate with the PCS500.

Please check also this thread for info about the PCMCIA card requirements:

You have first to check what is the LPT port address of the parallel port card.
Then enter this address to the combo box on the PcLab2000SE startup screen.
Please check in this thread how to find the LPT port address:

You can also use docking station (port replicator) for this. PCS500 seems to work properly with HP laptop + dock.
