Problems with k8031

Hi,

I bought a k8031 kit. I installed the software and the drivers, powered up and connected the hardware. I lounch the PCLab2000SE and I allways get the message No Hardware Response. I use Windows xp and connect the hardware thru the LTP1 port. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the LPT port address from the Device Manager?
Should be same as selected on the startup screen of the PcLab2000SE.

I verified that and is the same 378. On the mounted hardware I verfied all the conections and voltage.

If you have a multimeter you may check the voltege on C45 and C44.
There should be some voltage when you select the K8031 and click OK on the startup screen.

I measured the voltage between C45-C46 and the ground when I pushed OK button on the startup screen and is 0 (zero). I also measured the voltage between the tranzistor T1 and ground when pressed OK button and is zero.
I measured the voltage between C45-C46 and the ground
Did you use the ground of the LPT port section on the PCB? If you measured to the ground of the power adaptor then you always get zero results.

u[c45]=5,0v; u[c44]=0v; uemiter[t1]=4,72v.

The voltages look OK.
The C44 gets voltage only during the data communication between the PC and the oscilloscope.

It seems that you have to return your unit for check/repair.
