Hello.
About three weeks ago I bought at you a 3D printer Velleman k8200 kit version. I placed the printer and all the functions were working until the moment of checking the Z axis limit switch (page 564), when you click on the HOME button of axis Z, the arm moves down, but when you press the limit switch does not stop but just doing a short move up and then extended down and then stops, the motor rotates during this last moveslower.
Because of this reason i can’t finish setting up this printer. Film with this issue:

Please, help me in this matter,
Thank you in advance and best regards
Hi mt.ce,
the printer usually does this movement when you home the z-axis and the “limit” switch is pressed. So that’s exactly how it should be…
Did you actually manually press the limit switch in this video? If not, then probably your switch is not connected correctly - maybe in a way so that the board thinks the switch is activated all the time.
the arm moves down, but when you press the limit switch does not stop but just doing a short move up and then extended down and then stops, the motor rotates during this last moveslower
That sounds perfect
- In this video as instructed by checking limit switches, the switch was pressed by hand and not kept. The same movement i make every time.
Is it possible that this is the switch’s defect and the switch must be replaced? - In addition, the arm of Z axis in the last phase goes much lawer than the point at which the switch-off was pressed, and this is probably not right?
Everyone has a different notion of how much “much” is, so I can’t really assume anything is wrong.
I’m having trouble understanding your questions, but from what I hear, your endstop seems to work as it should (eg. the way you described), so I assume the only thing you still need to do is make sure it is pressed by the moving parts.
