Hi all. Was hoping someone could help or advise me on an issue with the RGB controller kit K8088. When running through all of the colours on a slow fade, Red, Green and Blue are all ok, but when cycling through the colours in between these colours I get a kind of flickering or pulsing effect. Is this supposed to happen? If not is it something I’ve done? All help gratefully accepted.
Most likely related to the power supply.
Some swithing power supplies are not happy with a PWM load. Adding a dummy load can help.
Also, if the supply is too weak, this can happen.
I have the same problem. what is a PWM load and a dummy load and how do you add it?
What load are you using and what power supply? Specs?
I don’t know what the word ‘load’ is or seems like i speak dutch so kan you give a synonime or discropton?
Don’t know hat you need as specs but here is al what is on the sticker

i hope you have what you need
Most likely you did not add a large (e.g. 4700µF/25V) smoothing capacitor between + and - of your diode bridge.
This explains the ‘flicker’ you get.
Take care when adding a capacitor, it can explode if you inverse the polarity.
I didn’t add anything so that should bee the cause
and the capacitor has it to be installd over the diode bridge?
so capacitor - with diode -
and capacitor + with diode +
or has it to be in serie?
No, in parallel, as we’ve mentioned.
