Problem with K2636 speed control

Hello

I assembled the K2636 AC motor speed control kit, but connecting it to the motor, it seems to have no effect on the rpms of the motor. The motor revolves, but with a constant rpm. I’ve checked the soldering many times so I don’t think that is the reason? Any hints for troubleshooting?

Check the connections: AC to both MAINS and VAC load.
Please note that this kind of control will only control motors with brushes, so no brushless motors such as fans etc…
