PIC programmer pack and LCD

How can you connect an LCD to the microcontroller? How do u program an LCD using a microcontroller?

We are afraid that answering such questions is not one of the goals of this forum. On this forum, we try to help people that have problems assembling or using our products. For general questions on electronics, please refer to other forums, websites or literature.

If you want to experiment with interfacing a µ-controller and an LCD, we can recommend the MK158 kit. It is excellent value for money and it features all the parts you need. The controller is a PIC16F630, so you can program it over and over again.

While recognising that connecting an LCD display to a microcontroller is beyond the scope of the support that Velleman can give in respect of the K4048/VM111 programmer, can I suggest that a Google search for “+PICmicro +LCD.display” will give you some useful pointers.

In particular, here are some links from my ‘favourites’ that I have found helpful -
