I am trying to make an IV-analysis (voltage vs. current graphic characteristic) for a simple diode with my PSCU1000 scope.
For doing this I used a serial resistor to get an image of the current flowing through the diode. I can read both values (voltages)
separately on both channels on my scope.
However if I want to make a real IV-Analysis as an XY plot on my PCSU1000 I can’t get voltage references independent of each other. The connection point between the 2 components must by the common voltage reference (in my understanding).
In addition to that I can’t find any possibility to invert values for X and Y channels in XY plot mode.
I would assume that with differential, i.e. floating voltage, input for the PCSU1000 this would have been possible. Wouldn’t it be?

To the XY plot mode is added possibility to invert the X and Y values.

Please note:
If you are using Windows Vista, please do following:
Open the folder: C:\Users<UserName>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Velleman\PcLab2000SE
Delete the pcsu1000.bit file from this folder before running the new PcLab2000SE software version.
By doing this, the new installed pcsu1000.bit file will take effect and the new features of the oscilloscope are usable.
