PCS100 DriverLinx Driver

Downloaded PC-Lab2000SE and loaded it, selected PCS100 and disabled plug and play. It gives the error message “Could not open DriverLINX driver Please run INSTALL.DRV.EXE to install driver”.

System:
Desktop
Windows XP
Administrator
parrallel port set to normal in BIOS.

Intalled the driver and still doesn’t work. When running Pc-Lab2000 always failed to calibrate as well. Tried deleting WinDSO.ini.

This has got me stuck any suggestions please…

If the calibration starts but fails that indicates hardware failure.

Please check the calibration.log file for more info about the problem.

Thanks gets past the first error now, but runs through Calibration for a while then error msg; “LPT port communication error. Calibration failed”.

This was posted in the calibration log;

Calibration results:

Offset at 3V/div : -24 FAIL
Offset at 1V/div : -51 FAIL
CH1 correction at 20us/div : -101 FAIL
CH1 correction at 10us/div : -101 FAIL
CH1 correction at 4us/div : -101 FAIL

Is going to be the scope hardware then?

I think you have read this post:

Have you tried the slow communication speed for the scope from the Options / Hardware Setup menu.
Also you mentioned that the LPT port is set to normal mode in BIOS.
What are the other alternatives for the LPT port modes in the BIOS?
