No, I agree. I think had the printer been new when I purchased it, I may have had a more pleasant experience. Oh well, we live and learn.
I’m absolutely sure it is possible to drive the machine also with a ramps board.
It just needs some different settings for the drivers, wiring and firmware…

It’s practically the same Controller Velleman uses from stock.
