Hi, I have assembled 4 x K4700 units to protect an 8-channel (4 x Truepath with separate SMPS power to each side) amp. Don’t like the idea of all those mains connections, so have left out the on-board transformers and plan to use 1, larger, 6-0-6 transformer to supply all 4 boards. Can anybody tell me if I’m creating a problem for myself by having a common set of 6-0-6vac delivered to each of the bridges on the boards. Am I likely to be creating any looping problems between the various amp channels? Thanks
Definately not a good idea. Can lead to hum, noise or ground level problems.
