MK179 Compatible with EM4305 or EM4205

Hi,

Would it be possible to modify the MK179 so that it can read em4305 / 4205 tags? Those chips operate at 134 Hz instead of the 125 Hz that the MK179 uses. Would it be possible to do something with the hardware, or does it need reprogramming in the PIC?

A better solution to my problem would be to find a impantable EM4100 / 4102 tag, since my plan is to implant a chip in my hand to open the door/start my car. I have some iplantable chips, with sterile insertion needle, but its the wrong type for the velleman kit.

That would require different firmware, which unfortunately we do not supply.

i have the same question, i have found an glass ampulle with rfid read only chip, it is working in EM4102 and the mk179 is EM4100 do you think this would work?

its not your fault if i doesnt but do you think it would be possible or just waste of money?

It will not work as the protocol is different.
