MK138 Thermostat

Hi there.I have just finished the MK138 thermostat. I have replaced the supplied thermistor fora a 100k to try to increase the max temp. With this I get a max of ~ 120.c. The max I need is ~ 160.c . Any sugestions as to the simplest way to achive this?. All help would be apreciated. Thanks

A couple of issues:

  1. Check if the sensor is suited for 160°C (check the datasheet).
  2. Most likely, at this temperature, its behaviour will not be linear.
  3. The board indicates which resistors need to be changed to change the range. Sorry, no values, please experiment.

Thanks for the reply .With the board built it is hard to see the text on the board . I can only presume from your reply it is the max temp resistor I need to change ? . Can you tell me if it needs to be a higher or lower value? . Thanks.

Check the board carefully (watch the arrows): lower R5 = higher Tmax
Sorry, no values, please experiment.
