I’m planning to buy 2 quiztables, I read all the board-posts, so it’s clear te me how to connect those two.
I have a couple of questions before buying these boards.
When a player presses and releases the button, the led stays on untill the reset switch is pressed?
I want the following: When a players presses his button a light (230v) have to light up, how can I do that? For every button an other light so I can give all players a different color
if a player presses his button a buzzer must buzz for a few seconds. Not a buzzer for all players, but that could be an option is its easy to build. A buzzer without a timer would be an option when the buzzer only buzzes when the button is pressed and for the fastest player
the buttons on the print have 4 soldering points, how can i replace them by simple doorbell buttons?
That’s a good option, expensive, but it works . I think i will replace just the reset-led with an 230volts light
I saw velleman.eu/downloads/0/modu … _vm141.pdf, but does this mean the buzzer needs his own power? Also the timer needs it’s own power? Is it possible to have one poweradapter (12volts) for both the quizboard and the timerpanel?
this weekend bought myself the VM141, but the shopowner couldnt tell me exactly how to connect the quiztable with the timer, can you tell me what part i need? the buzzer i already bought.
Basically, you will need to connect a 12V relay to the quizmaster lamp output.
Any low power relay will do. Don’t forget to put a diode (e.g. 1N4148) over the relay coil (cathode to the ‘+’ ).
Next, connect the NO relay contact to the input of the timer.
These hints should allow you to complete the project. If not, then we suggest you seek local help.
i connecten the timer-board, quiztable and the buzzer to a 12volt adapter and al works like a charm (except the problem mentioned in an other topic).
a connected a relay to the reset light output and the relay to the timer board. i connected all three pins to the start, com and stop port.
when i power up the board led2 on the timerboard keeps burning. when a player hits his button (quiztables) the buzzer sounds for the time it has to sound. Led2 goes out and led1 goes one permanently. led 2 en 3 flashes turnwise.
when the buzzer stops all leds stop burning except led2. led2 goes on again.
is this normal behaviour and it doesnt harm the timer-board?
