MK125 OFF at dusk On at dawn

hello folks,

I am after a bit of help. I have bought an MK125 light sensitive switch kit, then I read the label properly…
Is there anyway to alter the kit to come on at dawn and off at dusk? It is to be used to switch a camera on and off which is only needed during daylight hours.

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

If you swap the inverting (-) and the non-inverting (+) inputs of the comparator (see diagram) then the unit will behave in the desired way.

Brilliant, thanks for that. Very much appreciated! Now all I have to do is read the diagram…

I have to substitute the LDR,cause damage. What value I need?

2-20K LDR should be fine (e.g. Velleman LDR04)

Trying to hook up a light bulb to the kit but its not working. Before this I hooked up a buzzer and that worked and in exactly the same way i connected the light bulb. I am using a 9V battery to power it, do I need something higher than this? Could this be why it is not working?

Any ideas anyone?

Kit needs 12VDC to operate in a reliable way.
