MK120 is not working?

I have assembled a MK120 kit, but can’t get it to working I have checked the polarity twice, but as soon as I put a 9V battery in it and switch it to ‘on’ it’s in alarm mode, and the led and the buzzer are on. This happens no matter both of them are on or it is just the receiver. I have also checked for shorts on the receiver but can’t see anything.

If there are no assembly mistakes on the receiver end, either the battery is weak or the transmitter is not working. Look at transmitter with a digital camera (it can see IR light) to check its operation.
