When I turn the santa kit on, the sleigh and reins don’t light up. If I short one of the resistors in the transistor loop(R37, R38, or R39 on the schematic), then it works fine after. It’s like I’m initiating it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Are the values for these resistors correct?
Are the electrolytics correctly oriented?
yes all are correct, even swapped out resistors for new ones of the same values. Caps are all right according to polarity. Like I said it works perfectly once I ground one of the transistor bases. Looking at the circuit I’m wondering how it could be initiated by itself?
This is a strange problem which has never been reported before.
