I have assembled my MK111 timer kit. When I connect 12v dc the relay clicks and the LED lights but does not switch off no matter what the potentiometers are set to. What could be the problem?
Many thanks,
Jack

Most likely an assembly problem, e.g. IC inverted.
If you can supply links to HI-RES and SHARP pics of your assembly, both solder and component side, we can take a look for you.
I have exactly the same problem - LED lights up and stays on no matter what the pots are set to. I used a different 1M pot for my device as the Vellman kit contained two black 50K pots - I think in error, but otherwise there’s nothing unusual about the circuit.
thanks,
