MK 160 Power Supply

I would like to power the mk160 with the charger phone.

This kit can be powered with 5V?

If yes, you can show me the changes to the circuit?

Thanks and sorry for my bad English

Just a guess,

I don’t think you can do that as the relay requires 12 volts.

Thanks for reply, of course, the relay is the first component to be replaced with a 5v.

I asked for the change because the supply of the PIC is 5V (With ZD1=5.1 V ),
I think if you can run IC2 with 5V (and replacing the relay),
the circuit should work the same, right or wrong ?

Sorry,

This is something I have not tried.
I have found that the Velleman kits work best if they are not altered.

It SEEMS that you are right. At first glance the chances are big that this will work indeed.

You are right, the Kit works very well, it’s just another chance to operation.

would be very nice to use the same power supply to keep charge the phone and run the kit MK160.

Someone can try to help?

You could start by downloading the data sheet for the IC and see what the voltage range would be.
