This is our first time assembling a kit like this, and my 10-year-old son and I would like to get on with it!
I’ve been held up a few days by a few problems.
We ran into a few problems. My son soldered one connection that apparently got the board a little too hot, melted a little spot and the foil connector pulled up and broke.
It’s on one of resistors that is right next to the IC, and the broken foil goes to one of the IC posts.
How can I fix that? Should I add a small jumper wire to bridge the gap?
Also, the directions don’t give much detail on mounting the IC part. Do we just bend the little tabs on the bottom side of the IC socket? Or do they all get soldered?
