Hello, I have the same Problem, the LCD backlight goes on, but i see nothing on the screen.
The number on the blue sticker is VELLEMAN 1139278,
can you help me please?
most pins of the ic are either low (gnd, 0v) or connected to the power supply
only pin 10 gives a sign of live but i can’t do anything with it.
the ic warms up a litte but the LM317 voltage regulator gets really hot.

Even after receiving another dsPIC33FJ32GP the lcd display did work but it was for only a short period of time. Now i have 2 PIC ic’s that aren’t working.

Hello Velleman support Team,
I have assembled your Kit K8098 (Audio analyser).
PCB is Version without external XT Crystal oscillator.
But the Problem: LCD Backlight is on : no Picture on the Screen. (With alim12V)
Do you have any Idea how I could make it work ?
Maybe problem IC ?

I have purchased 2 kits K8098 which display white blank screens Voltages are correct input 12V to board on pin 1 of PIC at 3.3 and the current draw is 53ma as above both units are from batch number 1139278.
Can you please advise what else to check.
