K8097 USB Card Software for Dolly Use

Hello, I am interested in using the Velleman K8097 USB Stepper Motor Card for
building a automated Pan-Tilt-Motordolly System for my DSLR.
Here I have two questions:

  • Is this card suitable to provide smooth movement of the stepper motors (in terms of resolution)?

  • Since I have no programming Skills, I wonder if there is any Demo application or likewise some Software already written
    for this board, where you can Program and Playback movements and combinations of movements
    for the individual Stepper Motors? Is there any simple way to create a script or something?

Resolution depends on motor and gears, not on the card.
Anyway, if you do not have any programming experience, I would not attempt to use the card, unless you can rely on some local help.
