K8089 - Progressively Loses time

I have been running the K8089 clock and see that it continues to lose minutes. Currently it is behind 20 minutes, and appears to continue to run slow.
Any ideas?

Most likely, due to some assembly problem or defective component, it is running on it’s internal RC instead of in sync with the AC grid.
Check the zero cross detection part of the circuit.

Any chance you can give me instructions on how to accomplish this.
Thanks

Unplug clock.
Press and hold ‘hrs’ (SW3) while plugging in the clock.
Check first two digits and report back please.

Sorry - got sent on travel
Holding SW3 while plugging in yields: 00H2

As I thought, the zero-cross section is not working.
Check and/or replace R1, R3, C3, D7, T1, R4

Will do and will let you know the results.

Once done, what code should I be looking for?

50H2 or 60H2, depending on where you live…
