I assembled one K8059 and it’s not working. I check every soldering points and every components and I don’t see the reason for this problem.
The problem is that when I press the button, the LED remain off.
I check the pin’s of the IC1 and when I push the button the pin 1 goes to 5V, and pin 3 goes to almost 0V. The base of T1 goes to almost 0V too.
Component values seem to be OK, soldering is difficult to judge due to picture quality.
We notice that you have made a solder jumper under the IC.
Please note that this can only be done if you use the transmitter with K6706/27/K8009/K8022
All other Velleman kits will not work when the jumper is placed.
I assembled both K8059 and K8057 today.
First I soldered diode D4 the wrong way at the receiver (K8057-1), powered it up, not working, checked and corrected. No it seems to be working.
While trying to pair the remote with the receiver I can do this only by pressing the right button, the left one is not working like is not transmiting. The led lights up when pressing both buttons but looks like nothing goes to the receiver.
Bottom line, channel 2 works with the right button perfectly but channel one and left remote button no. I seems to be a problem with the remote but to be honest I`m out of ideeas. Could it be that only one channel in the remote is damaged?
I checked all the components in the remote and the soldering in both remote and receiver.
The receiver is powered up with 12v.
If you have any ideeas that will alow my to go back to sleep I`ll be forever gratefull.
