K8057 disable "extra feature" for one channel at a time

I am attempting to use a Velleman K8057 receiver and V130T transmitter to control an AC motor which can rotate in both directions (one wire for each direction and one common, has internal relays). I am using pulsed mode. So far it works great with one exception: when both buttons are pushed, both directions activate at once and the motor shorts out. Is there a software or hardware approach to fix this so only one channel can be active at a time in pulse mode?

In the manual it describes this as “extra feature : if both channels are configured as ‘timer’, you can press both remote buttons simultaneously to operate both channels at the same time.” However, it does not describe how to disable this feature.

This feature cannot be disabled.
You must protect the motor with a hardware solution, as software can fail.
This can be easily done with the K8057:

Connect the common of the motor to the N of the mains

Connect 1 direction wire of the motor to NO of channel 1 and 1 direction wire of the motor to NO of channel 2 of the K8057

Connect the L of the mains to the COM of channel 1 of the K8057

Connect the NC of channel 1 with the COM of channel 2 of the K8057
