I have bought K8057 and K8059. They work fine, but there is too large
time lag between pressing the button on the remote control and action
on the reciever board, for our application. In fact, if one presses the
button for les than 0.5 sec there will be NO ACTION on the reciever.
During that time transmitter already sent several codes, so there is
no reason why the reciever should not react.
Is it a normal operation ? If so, we think this is a feature of the
recieving program burned into the recieving PIC. Would it be possible
for us to get from Velleman an updated reciever chip or program from
for the chip which minimizes the time lag ?
Could you please elaborate on how reciever works and why do you think that the response time cannot be improved ? I think that electronics of this model is excellent abnd that it only needs a small final “touch” to make it much more desirable by the customers.
And aslo, are the equivalent IR models (MK161/162) any faster than this RF model ?
Sorry, we do not have the means to adapt software of our microcontroller projects for unique purposes.
IR TX/RX is faster (sorry, no exact timing data).
