K8056 PIC looks dead.Replacement?

Hi,

I’ve got a two year (approx.) old K8056 relay board (printed P8056-1 on the board). It looks like the PIC is dead: test button doesn’t do anything. When serial signal is incoming, nothing goes out to the coms led (LD10). The power seems to work since that led (LD9) is ON and I can switch all relays manually by shorting the transistors.
Is it possible to get a replacement PIC programmed by Velleman (I assume Velleman does not release the source code of their kits)? Or should I buy a whole new relay board?
While I’m at it, what voltage is expected on the RS232 port? I’m driving it with 5V, is it enough?

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Cédric

Sorry, we do not release source.
You can order a spare PIC from your Velleman distributor.
Order code: VK8056

As for RS232, 5V should work.

Thank you for the quick reply. I’ve contacted a distributor.

Best regards.
