K8055 driver question

I’m using Windows 7 x64 as my development machine. I’ve got an 8055 kit to do a little proof of concept experiment. I see that the CD contains X64 microchip drivers but the 8055 folder does not. I see also from another forum posting that the 8055 identifies itself as a USB HID class device? If so then no additional driver(s) should be required?

Yes, the K8055 is a HID class device. No need to install any additional driver. The driver is included in the Windows.
