Hi,
I had a problem alike but with other numbers for the Write & Read when I tried using a usb to RS232 converter for programming the PIC. Might it be that you were trying to use a USB_RS232 converter?.
The problem that I have is this:
I’ve made the connections for the serial cable as prescribed and delivered with the K8048-kit.
Somehow the Progpic2.exe program doesn’t succeed to find my K8048-device. I have only one serial port on my computer (COM1) but in my device manager I see a COM3 port used for something else. I’ve tried to make the K8048-device visible by disabling and uninstalling this but whatever I try the Progpic2.exe program doesn’t detect my K8048-device.
Is there something I’m overlooking here?
Thibaut.
Hey,
Just to inform I solved my problem:
Bought a straight cable in an elektro-shop and this fixed the problem, must have made a mistake somewhere in soldering the wires the my serial connectors.
