K8038 dimmer

After soldering all the pieces together I looked to the schematics of the print.
I noticed that the value in the illustrated assembly manual of C8 is 100 nF.
But when you look at the schematics you’ll find that the value of C8 is 10nF.

The kit comes with C8 = 100nF.

What should the real value of C8 be?
I don’t think that’s is a big ‘bug’ if C8 is 100nF in stead of 10nF.
the only difference is that C8 influences the max phase shifting?..not?

Hi,
C8 is a debounce capacitor for the pushbutton. 100nF will be better than 10nF for this purpose. It also protects the electronic circuit against static voltage discharges via the push button’s wires.
The value of it does not influence the maximum phase shifting.
