K8000 - Revisions and Visual Basic 1.0

I plan on buying a K8000 for use with an old dos tablet pc (stylistic 500) to control some things here.

Question 1:

I want to use Visual Basic 1.0 for dos. Qbasic and Visual Basic are mentioned as supported development tools, but not “Visual Basic 1.0 for MS-Dos” specifically. So can I use that?

Question 2:

Also I can buy a second hand board P8000’2 but that seems to be an older revision (current marking seems to be P8000’3). What’s the difference?

Thanks

Should work fine with VB for DOS, however, we have no experience with this particular version.
Sorry, due to the age of the kit and the fact that it has been obsolete for a while, we do not have access to information that explains the differences between the board versions. Most likely, these differences are minor.

Thanks for the quick reply, I had no idea these kits were obsolete. Are there any major price drops to be expected on the remaining stock of kits?

Sorry, we are manufacturer, we do not sell direct.
Pricing is an issue which should be discussed with your distributor.
However, it is unlikely that there will be remaining stock, as the unit has been obsolete since 2010 and it was quite popular.
