Hi,

Looking at the specs for the K6002 it says that this kit requires 9volt AC 300mA

[ul]
[li]relay outputs: 5A / 220V AC switch-over contact[/li]
[li]resolution: ± 0.1°C[/li]
[li]display from -40°C to +150°C[/li]
[li]24-hour clock (50Hz mains frequency)[/li]
[li]alarm setting: from -50°C to +154°C[/li]
[li]separate optocoupled sensor input (for K6001)[/li]
[li]power supply: 9V AC / 300mA[/li]
[li]front panel dimensions: 2.4 x 4.6", depth 3.2"[/li][/ul]

I Hope this helps.

This kit NEEDS AC! They use the 50 Hz of the AC as a kind of clock or something. But an AC-signal is really needed.

Hi,

Yes it requires AC.
It states in the manual that it is for the clock and to power the rest of the unit.
