I just soldered K4001 kit, 3.5 jack and power cable, then connected speaker and turned power on, but i noticed that when i make more than half sound from my mp3, amplifier makes allot of noise. All of soldering is in best quality and after that i double checked all of components, and measured it with multimeter. None of amplifiers are making so lot of noise, and i want to ask, what should I do to make it gone or reduce noise? P.S. i’m using 12V 1.25A power source.
Chance is big that you want too much out of this tiny amplifier. On 12 Volts and with an 8 ohms speaker, you barely get 2 Watts of RMS output power… Much too low when bass is needed. So if you turn the input up, the amplifier cannot deliver more power and gives a distorted sound. More info? Do some research on “amplifier clipping”.
Maybe you are over driving the K4001 with the MP3 player.
